It is a longer headline than most, but I am sure it would work better than my other four headlines - because it is tested.

Mini-lesson #4: The survey asked for the prospect's occupation. Why? Your testing might show that real estate investors prefer Report #3: How to get rich using sweat equity instead of risking large amounts of cash. That's important if you later decided to advertise in a real estate publication or website. You would already know what attracts the readers of that publication or website.

By keeping track of the different occupations, you might pick up some interesting trends. A word of caution: Don't over-analyze or micro-analyze your results. Just evaluate the obvious trends.

Mini-lesson #5: Many distributors create their own websites or marketing audios. Have you noticed something?

Many of these presentations start with an overview of the loss of conventional jobs, the changing paradigm, etc. Now, look at Report #2: “The insecurity of corporate America and what you can do about it.” How many prospects chose that report? Only 2 out of 100! Does that tell us something?

Maybe our prospects don't want to hear that message. Maybe they already know that. Maybe that message is just boring and they want to know what else we can do for them “right now.”

Judging from the results of our survey, I think I might change some of those lifestyle recruiting audios I’ve heard and make the headline: “Greed, leverage, obscene residual incomes.” Hey, I am just adjusting to the wishes of the prospects we surveyed. :)

A final word: T-E-S-T!!

If you can't take the time to test six different approaches or headlines, then you deserve to be making only 10% of what you could be collecting in monthly bonus checks.

I even had a friend, Chuck Huckaby, test the experiment. Yes, he tested the test! He wrote me:

“When I changed the numbers on the survey responses, the same headlines won again ... even at different positions according to my online survey.”

So, what about you? Are you testing? Are you taking advantage of the leverage we discussed?

If not, survey, survey, and survey. Remember, the worst that can happen is that you get a lot of new distributors with your test. The best that can happen is that you isolate the winning benefit or phrase that doubles or even triples your income in 30 days.
